Who we are

The Monument to the Heart of Jesus of Boadilla is a citizens' initiative carried out by collecting signatures, presented in the plenary session of the City Council and approved without the opposition of any parliamentary group on November 15, 2019.

For this purpose, the Civil Association of Devotees of the Heart of Jesus of Boadilla was established within the Community of Madrid.

The Fundación Vía el Arte is a co-sponsor of the project as it is in line with its founding purpose and allows tax deductibility of donations to anyone who feels moved to do so.

Association of the Devotees of the Heart of Jesus of Boadilla

The Civil Association of Devotees of the Heart of Jesus of Boadilla is an entity promoted by local faithful with the purpose of cultivating and spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Boadilla del Monte.

Among its purposes, they are committed to promoting works of mercy and social aid, allocating part of the funds raised to support the most needy in the Diocese of Getafe. They function as a vehicle to strengthen local devotion to the Sacred Heart, organizing consecration campaigns, novenas and spiritual actions linked to this cult.

On the other hand, the association also has evangelization and formation objectives, inspired by the spiritual impulse of the Sacred Heart. It seeks to accompany the faithful in their spiritual growth through community exercises of piety, promoting the immersive experience of the monument as a space for reflection, prayer and encounter with the sacred

Vía del Arte Foundation

The main objective of the Fundación Vía del Arte is to renew, disseminate and promote contemporary art that dialogues with the sacred, thus connecting with the heritage of sacred art and incorporating new forms of expression that open avenues for reflection and contemplation in today's society. The foundation seeks to build bridges between the present and tradition, betting on a contemporary view of art that, at the same time, maintains a respectful dialogue with the spiritual and transcendent.

In addition, this institution is dedicated to promoting the interdisciplinary integration of artists and disciplines, offering tools and spaces for contemporary creators to explore and reinvent the sacred dimension in their work. Through exhibitions, activities, training initiatives and collaborations, they facilitate this enriching encounter between tradition and the avant-garde, promoting new artistic languages that nurture culture and contemporary thought.
