Erecting a large monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Madrid is not a luxury or an ornamental gesture, but a courageous invitation to hope in a time marked by disenchantment and polarization. In an accelerated and divided society, this heart - wounded, open and burning - wants to be a beacon of reconciliation, a symbol of the love that unites, forgives and always waits.
This statue does not seek to impose itself or to point fingers, but to welcome with open arms, reminding us that there is a heart stronger than our differences. For the believer, it is a visible sign of Christ's redeeming love; for the non-believer, a poetic provocation, a question mark of stone and light that opens the door to mystery.

The neighbors of Boadilla del Monte, we have organized ourselves to form an association in order to promote devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in our town and beyond. To that end we will build a physical and a spiritual monument. The latter will promote the mercy of his Heart among the most needy.
We are moved by the impulse to be custodians of the will of many neighbors who have requested, from the Consistory of the locality, to erect a monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a testimony of our faith and love for God, on the ground of the municipality.
The proposal was approved at the municipal plenary session of November 15, 2019 without opposition from any parliamentary group.
D. Luis Argüello, President of the Spanish Episcopal Conference knows and blesses the project: "The way of beauty is an adequate path to communicate the Love of the Heart of Jesus".
D. Ginés García Beltrán, Bishop of Getafe, has been informed from the beginning of the project and has written to us:
"I am convinced that you are moved by devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. For this reason I encourage you to continue working for the good of the Church and so that so many of our brothers and sisters who do not know the love of God may have the opportunity to experience it."

An embrace to all humanity
(Fratelli tutti del Papa Francesco). - A large tabernacle heart of 2.5 meters in diameter for an immersive and sensory experience inside the Monument.
- Located on public land in Boadilla del Monte, between the M 50, the Financial City and the M 501.
- The largest Sacred Heart in the world, 37 m high and 60 m wide.
- With the wound of the side facing the rising sun the heart will light up and descend each day to the ground.
- Inside we will hear the slowed heartbeat of Jesus as John did when he laid his head on his chest.
- We will feel his pulse as Thomas did when he put his fingers in his wound. We will discover, like Mary Magdalene, the sweet aroma of his presence.
- We will taste the bread of his Eucharistic body as the Virgin Mary did. We will contemplate in his gaze the golden light of his heart.
- A project that integrates contemporary art, science and faith.
- Made with the assistance of a scientific technical team to reproduce scientifically, in a realistic way, the real three-dimensional face of the man of the Shroud of Turin.
- A sculptural work donated by the sculptor Javier Viver.
- Global pilgrimage center and aid to the underprivileged
- The trunk and head are made of reinforced concrete and the arms are made of carbon fiber anchored to the concrete structure.
- Promoted by the Civil Association of devotees of the Heart of Jesus of Boadilla and the Vía del Arte Foundation.
- A budget of €17 million raised entirely by popular donations from around the world.
- 10% - 60% destined to promote the love of Jesus to the most needy through collaboration with concrete works of mercy.

Taking the Shroud of Turin as a starting point, each of the scourging wounds, the crown of thorns and the nail wounds have been mapped onto the monumental body of Jesus. These wounds will open holes in the concrete wall. From outside the Monument a constellation of black dots will be seen, but inside they will be luminaries through which the beams of light enter.
The monument has an open side sore facing the rising sun.
Every morning, when the first rays of sunlight pierce the wound on his side and illuminate his golden Heart, it will slowly descend to the earth by means of a pulley mechanism so that everyone can come close to touch and adore it during the day.
At nightfall, when the last ray of light is gone, the Heart will slowly return to its anatomical position. Then it will backlight and light up the night through the holes of passion like a constellation of stars.
